Soldier Torso

Epic Armoury’s Soldier Torso is a handmade cuirass and backplate, designed to protect the front and back of the torso and abdomen. This low-fantasy design is inspired by historical medieval armour, and is made to fit a wide variety of characters. Its simple form and adjustable fit make it easy for most people to wear, thanks to its curved structure and the ability to overlap beneath the arms.

The Soldier Torso rests at the hips and features small rolled flanges around its edges. To secure it, attach the breastplate and backplate together across the chest. It is fastened using six leather straps riveted to the backplate, and adjusted via the buckles attached to the breastplate. Tighten and adjust to your size, ideally over a padded gambeson for maximum comfort.

Crafted from 1mm thick polished steel and chrome leather straps, this armour is built to withstand the wear and tear of a LARP or reenactment with proper care of the leather and metal armour.
